Golf Course
Course planners are available on the day, but if you wish to see the layout, simply click on the photo of each hole for a more detailed look at it. You can also read the tips of our Professional, Mike Homewood, on how to play each hole.

Hole 1: Full Of Hope
A slicer's nightmare. Anywhere left will leave you a short iron to the green. Long hitters can take the risk of going for the green.

Hole 2: Boult's View
A blind tee shot. You MUST use the steps to check that the fairway is clear. Your tee shot should be just left of the marker post, as the fairway slopes from left to right.

Hole 3: The Deceiver
A short par 3, but take one more club than you think to avoid the front bunker.
![]()
Hole 4: Rolling Downs
The fairway slopes severely from right to left. Your approach shot should be aimed well right of the green to use the slope and avoid the front bunker. Take plenty of club.

Hole 5: Bluebell Wood
A short par 5. A good tee shot will set you up to reach this green in two shots. Anything left could be out of bounds. Anything right and you will be chipping out of the trees.

Hole 6: Sandy End
A long par 4. You will need to hit a good tee shot to reach this in two shots. Beware of your approach shot falling off to the right of the green, as the fairway slopes from left to right near to the green. 5 is always a good score.

Hole 7: Grave Encounter
This is another slicer's nightmare. You must avoid the road. Aim well left and this will leave you a long second shot to a well-bunkered green.
![]()
Hole 8: Never Left
A driveable par 4, but also a dangerous hole. Anything left will run into the woods and result in a potentially lost ball. Take an iron off the tee for position or go for it (go on, go for it!)

Hole 9: Hit And Hope
The prettiest hole on the golf course. There's trouble left, right, short and long! You know what to do. Good luck!
![]()
Hole 10: Road Hole
Another long par 4, uphill all the way. Aim your tee shot at the right half of the house, as the ball will go to the left, following the slope of the fairway. Beware the out of bounds all the way up the left! For your second shot, take 2 more clubs than you think and aim left of the green to use the slope.

Hole 11: Cherry Blossom
A short par 4, but with a very narrow green. Your tee shot should be left to give you an easier approach shot to the green. You can use the bank on the right hand side of the green to help your ball onto the green.
![]()
Hole 12: The Flatterer
Long hitters might reach this green. Your approach shot must carry the slope at the front of the green, otherwise the ball will be coming back to you, leaving you a tricky two-putt.
![]()
Hole 13: Ben's Revenge
This is my favourite hole, ask any member. Don’t miss the green on this par 3, otherwise you'll have a very tricky chip shot or bunker shot to a tiny target.
![]()
Hole 14: Pond Hole
Beware of the pond! Only the longest hitters should try to carry it. Use a long iron or a fairway wood to lay up. Your second shot is all downhill and doesn't play the full yardage. If you finish short with your second shot, a chip and run is advised, as the fairway drops severely onto the green.
![]()
Hole 15: The Firs
An iron is advised for accuracy to avoid the trees left and right. This will leave you with a short iron to the green. The green slopes from front to back.
![]()
Hole 16: Side Winder
The longest par 3 on the course. You can opt to use the bank on the left if you can't pitch your tee shot onto the green. Anything right will score bogey or worse. Good luck!
![]()
Hole 17: Cardiac Hill
This is a severe dog-leg left. A fairway wood to the top of the hill will leave you about 150 yards to the green. PRO’S LINE - over the corner, aim to the right of the bungalow with a draw, 250 yards carry!
![]()
Hole 18: Paddock Close
Go on, open up your shoulders! Bunkers await left and right to catch your tee shot. Your second shot should be aimed slightly left to use the fairway slope, but mind the Clubhouse roof and windows! Beware the out of bounds on the Patio! HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED THE COURSE!
